For some, it’s warmth.

For others, safety.

For most of us, home is where we are at peace with our family.

Which is why we work to keep families together at Fortify Home.

This Giving Tuesday, Fortify Life invites you to reflect on the meaning of home, and help build it for neighbors who are experiencing hunger, housing instability, and impossible choices.

What Home Means...

We asked our community, including our staff and local students, what the word home means to them. We learned that often times, home means family.

Support Community-Wide Change

Educational Initiatives

The Rural Disparity Project  was our first educational initiative. From there, we've continued to host Lunch & Learn opportunities to help community members learn from lived experience. In 2026, we're excited to launch multiple educational initiatives aimed at increasing empathy and understanding the reality of poverty in our communities.
