Fortify Home is a transitional housing program providing safe, stable, and supportive shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. More than just a place to stay, Fortify Home offers a path forward: We pair housing with personalized support, walking alongside our neighbors as they learn transformative power of compassionate community. ​

We offer the following services to all neighbors in DeKalb County
Education + Employment
Housing Support
We provide courses around budgeting, hands-only CPR training, NARCAN training, and more. We also help our neighbors create a resume and locate effective employment opportunities to meet their needs.
We prevent homelessness before it happens through our eviction clinic. Our team acts as a mediator between our neighbors, landlords, and the legal system. We then connect neighbors to local resources for help.
Referral's for Services
Emergency shelter, childcare, transportation, mental health, medical care, employment assistance, legal services - we help locate and connect neighbors to every existing resource.
The first time Jesse encountered Fortify Life was in a budget course in late 2021. The next time was at eviction court when a case manager approached the couple.
“He said, ‘I can help you. You’re not going to be living on the street,’” Galvan said. “That’s when we were introduced to Fortify Home.”
